We are currently offering practical land management volunteer opportunities with our Assistant Nature Recovery Officer.

Practical activities take place out on our reserves and involve land management tasks which vary depending on the needs of the reserve and the season of the year. Some typical examples of activities we carry out include; bracken bashing, scrub clearance, coppicing, balsam pulling, hedge laying and path or boundary management.

Our activities are currently taking place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Volunteers can join us out on the reserves as we manage the land to increase biodiversity and connectivity.

The work is varied throughout the year and dependent on the season, but there is always something for all abilities. We will provide all tools and protective equipment, but volunteers should wear sensible clothing for the time of year and sturdy work boots (steel toe caps if you have them).
