Our the Wild Health project has successfully applied for £359,592 from The National Lottery Community Fund to enable our project to continue to help and support thousands more people around Gwent.
Expressing his delight and explaining more about the project, GWT’s Wild Health Officer Ian Thomas said: “Through the Wild Health Project, we have been proactively engaging with the health and well-being needs of local communities, supporting those who can benefit physically and emotionally from connecting to nature, to access the outdoors.
“As well as the environmental and therapeutic benefits, the project is also supporting with other issues participants are tackling such as confidence, self-esteem, social isolation and employability. We are delighted to receive funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to enable us to continue this work for a further four years.”
