Wilder Champions

Wilder Leaders and Champions

Our plan to create a wilder Gwent cannot happen without grassroots support and activism. For the momentum to build, we need people to take the lead and champion nature - whether it is directly working with nature, inspiring other people to act, or asking local and national governments to act. We each have a role to play. Our Wilder Champions and Leaders are a vital part in helping us to achieve nature's recovery by restoring habitats, inspiring communities and bringing wildlife back in their local area.

Wilder Leaders are people who have a great idea for - or have already started - their own wild projects and are willing to help lead change, get others on board and be part of a wild movement. It could be in your school, business, church, workplace or community. You might be looking to grow a community orchard, start a friends-of-group, adopt an area of river or make your village plastic free. Whatever your wild idea we will join you on your journey, supporting you with training and resources, connecting you with other leaders, celebrating and promoting your work.

There are many ways to get involved right now...
