Membership Recruitment Officers (two posts)

Full Time, Permanent Posts
£10,920 pa plus commission plus 6% pension contribution (OTE £16k)

Gwent Wildlife Trust is the leading wildlife conservation charity working locally within the old county of Gwent. With more than 10,000 members, 300 volunteers and 1,000 acres of nature reserves, we are a successful, thriving organisation with a strong vision for the future. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who share our passion and enthusiasm for wildlife and the environment to help us build on our success by recruiting new members across Gwent.

Working at a wide variety of events and venues, successful applicants will need to be friendly, self motivated, happy to work independently and be able to demonstrate a recent, successful track record of face to face membership recruitment. Good local knowledge of Gwent would be a distinct advantage. As well as recruiting members, the post-holder will be expected to play an important role in the membership team, identifying venues and other recruitment opportunities and continually working to improve the effectiveness of our membership activities.

Working hours are flexible but frequent weekend and bank holiday work will be required. Our recruiters must have their own vehicle insured for business use (a mileage allowance is provided) and because the role could involve working with children or vulnerable adults, appointment is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

A basic salary is offered together with 23 days annual holiday entitlement and generous commission. We can also send you home at the end of the day knowing that you have made a real contribution to making the county a better place for people and wildlife.

For an informal chat about the role, please contact Denis Jackson, People & Wildlife Manager, on 01600 740600.
